A perfectly honest answer is, nobody needs a lifestyle designer or personal coach. Most anyone can benefit, however; from the services of a good lifestyle coach. I would imagine that many a great athlete would be talented enough to accomplish their specific skill without the input and advice provided by their coach. Yet my instincts tell me that the name and phone number of their coach is programmed on their speed-dial. Not having a coach isn't even a consideration for them. They recognize the importance of the relationship of both people working together for the same purpose, success. So, is their life any more important than yours? I think not. If you find yourself feeling like a "spectator", observing your life from the sidelines, rather than living your life, then a lifestyle design could probably benefit you. Just a few examples of reason for hiring a lifestyle coach are:

  • 1. Desire for a change but uncertain as to what exactly to change first.
  • 2. Specific goals such as a career change, weight or exercise discipline, relationship improvements (personal or job-related), etc.

    3. A sudden or unexpected change, such as a transfer or a loss that you are having difficulty coping with or managing.

    4. The knowledge that you could be happier, but are unclear as to why past efforts haven't been successful.

    5. You are ready to finally commit to living your true life. Perhaps you have tried before (more than once, maybe) and for some reason found yourself back into your same old habits and patterns.

There are as many reasons to hire a coach as there are individuals. We are all unique and have our own ideals in regards to the requirements for our happiness. Sometimes what holds us back is the fear that making changes will destroy our marriage or other significant relationships. When in fact taking care of ourselves makes it more likely that we will help to improve our relationship with others. There are ways to get what you want and need, while still maintaining a healthy relationship with family and friends. Learning to understand and communicate our needs is essential to living a full life. I would welcome the opportunity to talk with you about a lifestyle design suited to your needs.
